After some time in the US Army, Tom completed a Master's degree in Global Affairs at Yale University. Tom says of himself that he is not a math, technology or product expert. Nevertheless, he has been working at Amazon since 2016, where he regularly uses mathematics, develops technologies and works as a 'Product Manager'.

Today, Tom is Senior Manager for Product Management in the "Amazon in the Community" team.
