After a successful year in which the virtual classroom teech was set up and organized Europe's largest educational event for hundreds of German-speaking schools with the "Inspiration Days", existing investor Udo Schloemer and trivago founder Rolf Schroemgens are investing a seven-figure sum in the new talent development program with outstanding mentors.
In December 2020, founding brothers Joel and Emanuele Monaco launched the teech platform to bring their virtual classroom to German schools and established the "Inspiration Days" career guidance event, Europe's largest educational event with speakers and mentors such as soccer world champion Philipp Lahm, presenter Joko Winterscheidt, Amazon actress Cristina do Rego and astronaut Ulrich Walter.
However, the digitalization of the school system is still lagging behind - even after two years of the pandemic, schools are finding it difficult to access funding and introduce fee-based solutions.
That's why teech is now taking another important step towards the after-school market and is launching its own innovative talent development program for young people with immediate effect: Bestselling author Benedict Wells, Netflix director Arne Feldhusen, Amazon actress Cristina do Rego and star designer Marina Hoermanseder are just a small selection of the successful mentors who accompany young people in the so-called teech circles in order to specifically promote their passions and talents.
circles are learning groups consisting of 10 young people from all over Germany who are taught once a week in teech's virtual classroom by mentors on topics such as creative writing, film directing, fashion design and founding.
"The fresh capital will help us to expand our range in a targeted manner in order to offer committed parents and their children the topics that really interest them. In Rolf Schroemgens, we have one of the most experienced and successful German founders on board, who will help us on our further path together with existing investor Udo Schloemer," says Bro founder Joel Monaco.
Bro founder Emanuele Monaco adds: "Despite the huge rush, we manage to regularly attract a large number of renowned personalities to our circles. By late summer, we want to enable over 1,000 young people to take part in a circle of their choice in order to promote their strengths and show them that the world is open to them."
In addition to the mentors already mentioned, the program also includes racing with DTM champion René Rast, art with Mia Florentine Weiss, journalism with Malcolm Ohanwe, screenplay development with author Hans-Rath, game design with Daniel Dumont and founding with former Handelsblatt managing director Gerrit Schumann.
