teech launches mental health mentoring program for young people with well-known influencers

Together with various influencers, the startup teech is campaigning for young people who are struggling with the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic and is enabling them to discuss taboo topics with influencers in a virtual live format in order to raise awareness of mental health issues.

The coronavirus pandemic is having a particularly negative impact on young people, whose everyday lives and development are suffering above all from the consequences of social distancing. Various mental illnesses are spreading faster than ever before in this very young age group. The escape into increased media consumption, among other things, accelerated this effect immensely and made itself felt in the form of a wide variety of clinical pictures - both mental and physical. 

With a new and free format, teech will address this topic together with role models of many young people and enable open interaction in a protected, virtual space to engage with well-known influencers. to discuss various key topics. At the start of the Mental Health circle, the following topics will be discussed and accompanied by well-known influencers who will report on their own experiences:

  • Panic attacks and anxiety with Florentine Dakota Reuther Moon aka @flobroo 
  • Hate on the net with Jeniffer Schott aka @jeyisbae 
  • Bodyshaming with Diana Bill aka @diademlori

This form of teech circle acts as a "safe space" and ensures an open exchange between like-minded people who share their stories in a closed environment under the guidance of influencers. How young people register for one of the 50 coveted places üThey use the teech platform to talk to their role models in person about the challenges they face and at the same time get an authentic look behind the facade of social media reality. 

This free format is part of the innovative mentoring program teech circles of the German start-up teech Education GmbH from Darmstadt, which is run by two founding brothers who have already organized Europe's largest digital career orientation event with the Inspiration Days, which will take place again in September 2022.
