  • See: Describe the appearance of objects around you and use figurative language to bring it to life.

  • Listen: Focus on the sound quality and structure of the music, such as the placement of pauses, pitch or volume.

  • Smell: Describe the smell of objects to evoke memories and emotions.

  • Taste: Use taste as a metaphor to vividly describe the theme of your song.

  • Feel: Describe the texture and temperature of objects to create tactile depth in your lyrics.

  • Organic sense (body sense): Includes the perception of physical sensations such as movement, tension and internal sensations such as pain or hunger.

  • Kinesthetic sense (sense of movement): Describes the interaction between our body, the environment around us and our sense of movement (falling, crawling or dizziness, but also, for example, the feeling of freedom).
