Roman Hocke is a renowned literary agent and publisher. He has been an editor at Weitbrecht Verlag in Stuttgart since 1981 and works with well-known faces in literature. There he realized over 250 books and advanced to publishing director. Hocke has published works of fantastic literature, including the thirty-volume Library of Babel by Jorge Luis Borges, and worked with Michael Ende for over 15 years. Since Ende's death, he has looked after his literary estate. In 1997, he founded the Hocke Projektagentur in Rome and Munich, later renamed AVA international GmbH. In addition to his work as a literary agent, he is committed to the fantastic arts and is a member of the board of Labyrinthe, Gesellschaft für phantastische und visionäre Künste e.V. in Munich. He is also an honorary member of the Bruno Weber Foundation.
