Thorsten Wettcke, born in 1974, is a renowned screenwriter. After studying in Mainz, he joined Wüste Filmproduktion. His debut "EIN GÖTTLICHER JOB" was released in cinemas in 2001. He wrote, directed and produced "SUNNY" in 2005 before concentrating on writing. Known for the crime scene "INVESTIGATIV" and the award-winning "TATORT" investigator Cenk Batu, he acted as head writer for "DER KRIMINALIST". Wettcke received the International Emmy for "DAS WUNDER VON KÄRNTEN" (2013) and wrote for "WIR SIND DIE WELLE". A member of the DEUTSCHE FILMAKADEMIE, he lives and works in Berlin.
