In 2012, Luca moved to Germany from Rome (Italy) to complete his PhD studies in physics. At the time, he was part of the ATLAS experiment that led to discovering the Higgs-Boson – a fundamental particle in physics that gives mass to other elementary particles. After academia, he switched gears to work as a Software Development & IT Operations (DevOps) Engineer. That means he combined software development and IT operations to streamline and automate the software delivery process in the areas travel technology and later automotive. Luca has been working at AWS since 2019, helping automotive companies with their cloud solutions. When he’s not geeking out about tech, he‘s a busy dad of a 7-year-old.
